The Client – MEG Corp, based in Plymouth, Minnesota, is an industry leader in fuel product solutions, testing services, and fuel consulting. The company provides expertise to fuel distributors, fleets, mechanics, and others who utilize fuel in their operations. MEG Corp requested NuRev Group’s help to redesign its website in October of 2019.
The Challenge – The MEG Corp website did not represent the technical expertise or products produced by the company. MEG Corp leaders wanted to increase industry awareness around the products they create and produce, along with adding the products they sold to its website. The most immediate need for MEG Corp was to transition the website from its existing Squarespace CMS into a platform that allowed greater customization and growth for the future. The website wasn’t organized in a way that was intuitive or easy to navigate for audiences accessing MEG Corp’s information online. From new and existing customers on the distribution side to those looking to order products and services directly from the website on the consumer side, online ordering needed to be developed. On top of that, the company wanted to implement tracking and analytics to its website.
The Solution – The NuRev Team started with building MEG Corp a new, easy-to-use website. After considering our options, we determined that WordPress was the right content management system for this project as it is easy to edit page content and manage products through an integrated e-commerce platform. Working closely with the MEG Corp team, NuRev was able to develop a search engine optimization (SEO) strategy. SEO was added to all pages and products through the use of meta descriptions and keywords. When designing the new website, it was built according to the current responsive standards. That allowed the website to function optimally on any size device, including mobile. NuRev continues to assist MEG Corp in its marketing endeavors.
